Before and After

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.” – Ezekiel 36:26

Our God still performs miracles. Hannah is our proof.

This is part of Hannah’s ECHO study done on 1/11/2007. You are looking at a cross-section of all four chambers of the heart. The large chamber at the bottom-right is her left ventricle. It is very dilated — its diameter in this study was 3.6cm. At the time, we were jumping for joy for this kind of ventricular function. Keep in mind, this is after we were discharged from Ochsner — her heart was in much poorer condition only a month earlier.

Fast forward 9 1/2 months, two more hospital trips, and a lot of prayer later. This is the same cross-section of her heart taken at her last cardiologist visit on 10/25/2007. The images speak for themselves.

You don’t need a medical degree to see the difference. This looks like a completely new heart! I have not been able to get this video out of my head since I first saw it. I am awestruck at the faithfulness of our God!

Her journey is just beginning. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for this little girl! We are so incredibly blessed to be a part of this story that God is writing.
